The centrepiece is Taktsang, the Tiger's Nest monastery, climbed at an easy pace with breaks built in and a guide who knows the story behind every shrine along the way.

Your guide and driver meet you on the tarmac at Paro with a traditional welcome scarf, the khata, and a private vehicle for the whole journey. The drive to Thimphu follows the Paro river through pine forest and farmland.
Check in to your handpicked luxury hotel in the afternoon, with the rest of the day free to settle in. A welcome dinner is arranged in the evening, with a short introduction to Bhutanese cuisine and etiquette.

A full day exploring the capital at an easy pace: the towering Buddha Dordenma statue above the valley, the fortress-monastery of Tashichho Dzong, and the National Memorial Chorten, where locals gather each morning to walk and pray.
In the afternoon, a private visit to a family-run textile workshop, followed by free time at the weekend market or a boutique on Norzin Lane. Your evening is reserved for a spa treatment or hot-stone bath at your hotel, arranged in advance.
Overnight in Thimphu.
Return to Paro and set out on the walk to Taktsang, the Tiger's Nest monastery, which clings to a cliff 900 metres above the valley floor. Your guide sets an unhurried pace, with a stop at the cafeteria viewpoint for tea before the final climb.
In the afternoon, visit Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum, then rest before a farewell dinner with a short performance of traditional song and dance arranged for your evening.

A relaxed morning before your private transfer to Paro International Airport in time for your onward flight. Your guide sees you off at the terminal.
